This is perhaps the most famous variant of video poker online (or offline for that matter). If you are new to the game, we suggest that you start out here and get to grips with the game playing this version, which more often than not offers the best payout.

The aim of the game is to get the best poker hand- you´ll start winning money when you get a pair of Jacks (as the name suggests). There are no wild cards and the maximum payout on this variant is generally 4,000 coins.

You´ll be dealt 5 cards to begin with ( click on the ‘deal’ button)– most casino games will automatically highlight the cards you should hold at this stage. But you can also choose them manually if you do not agree with the selection. Discard the other cards, and click on the “Deal” button again for the second round of cards.

You can vary the size of your bet (generally 1-5 coins). It´s up to you. But to bag the jackpot  4000 coins payout, you´ll need to have bet the max. You can also adjust the size of coin you play with. The choice generally varies from 25 cents to $5 (or euros, pounds etc). So on the above example, the minimum bet would be 25c and the maximum bet would be $25.

So looking at some payout examples, say you bet 4 coins at a $1 denomination and you get a full house. You’d win 12 coins or $48.
Then you bet 3 coins at a $5 demonination and you landed a 4 of a kind. You’d win 75 coins, or $375.

In our humble opinion it is better to decrease you coin denomination rather than the number of coins that you bet if you want to reduce the size of your bet, as the payout ratios are betterwhen you play with 5 coins.
